To all Parents of U7 and U8 Girls,
Welcome to the Fall soccer season. Here is your need to know info.
Your daughter is in the U7 age group if she was born in 2012 and the U8 age group if she was born in 2011.
This year we will be separating the U7 and U8 age groups for practice and game days.
We have also decided to play the season without placing the players on formal teams. Instead they will practice with their age group and the teams on Sundays will be picked by the trainers and coaches at the field. By having a less formal structure to the game days we hope that the following will occur:
– maximum game time for each player (instead of some teams with more subs due to absentees).
– Opportunity for all players to play with and against each of the other players in their age-group over the course of the season.
– Opportunity for the trainers to challenge each player at their level.
Therefore we will need all players to bring both their orange and white jersey to the game each Sunday. All games on Sundays will be held at the Grade School Field at either 10:00 or 11:00am (see schedule link below), the first games are this Sunday, 9/9 at 10:00am.
During the season we will be consulting with the parents, coaches and trainers to evaluate how this model is working and will make adjustments as necessary.
Each age group will receive 8 training sessions this season. These training sessions will be led by coach Oscar from the Maximum Potential Training company.

On days when schools are closed there will be no training sessions and these will be made up later in the season.
Schedule for training sessions:
U7 (2012) girls: Thursdays from 5:00-6:00pm and 6:00-7:00pm (Start 9/6)
– You should have heard from the U7 girls coordinators regarding which time slot your daughter should attend.
U8 (2011) girls: Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30pm (Start 9/5)
The times for the training will need to be adjusted as we move through the season due to daylight.

The first game is this Sunday, 9/9 at 10:00am for all U7 and U8 girls.
If your daughter does not have the correct uniform (white and orange jerseys) please visit Sports Shack to order it. If you do not have it for the first game please have them wear any orange or white shirt.
